Beyond the Bayou Featured in Travel Channel’s “Insider’s Guide to Mardi Gras”

We are excited to announce that Beyond the Bayou was recently featured in the Travel Channel’s “Insider’s Guide to Mardi Gras”. In a recent piece, our Operations Manager Jake Kelston helped to outline some of the best events to catch this Carnival season and gave his tips on the best ways to experience them. Author Meredith Rosenberg featured items from this piece in her project for the Travel Channel’s “Roam” blog.

Some of our suggested events include the Skull and Bones Gang’s early morning antics in Treme, the Zulu parade and searching for the elusive Mardi Gras Indians. Other parts of the article highlight one of the best King Cakes around, tips for parades and events outside of New Orleans. For anyone attending their first Carnival, check out this guide and the previous blog post for everything you need to know for a unique, off the beaten path experience.

Happy Mardi Gras from everyone at Beyond the Bayou!
